As a child, I was endlessly imaginative—dreaming up stories and wishing I could step into the pages of picture books. Art was my escape then, and still is now. My work is intuitive, shaped by emotion and guided by memory. With a background in graphic design, I’m drawn to strong composition—using lines, shapes, and patterns to create expressive pieces that blur the boundary between clarity and abstraction. Inspired by my Colorado roots, years near the ocean, and Idaho’s varied terrain, my paintings are layered with personal landscapes. I lose myself in the process, and what emerges often surprises me—a reflection of the moment I was in. My hope is simple: to create beauty that invites you in, stirs a memory, or transports you to a place all your own.
Pamela Trail, a Colorado State University Fine Arts graduate, was influenced early on by her mother, a professional artist known for her bold, colorful paintings. Pamela channeled her passion into a graphic design career, including roles as a creative director at a craft brewery and co-owner of an artisan cheesemaking business. Her return to painting allows her to explore new emotional depths, creating vibrant, expressive works that blend acrylic and pencil, balancing clarity and abstraction. Her art has been featured in businesses, galleries, auctions, and juried exhibitions across the Pacific Northwest.
